The villages of North and South Lopham
have a tradition of high quality linen making dating back 300 years
and it's linen was supplied to Queen Victoria at Buckingham Palace
and Windsor Castle. South Lopham is centrally placed for exploring
East Anglia and the following offers just a glimpse of what is on

exploring South Norfolk and North Suffolk our location makes us an
ideal base: Norwich (30 miles), Thetford (10 miles) and Bury St
Edmunds (17 miles).

miles to Thetford Forest
High Lodge visitors centre has extensive walking and
cycle rides (cycle hire available locally in Diss and at High Lodge)
and Go Ape for over
10s to climb and swing through the trees. There is
also walking and cycling opportunities at
Brandon Country Park a little further (24 miles) but
still part of Thetford Forest with free car parking.
For more serious walkers, the prehistoric Peddars Way starts at
nearby
Knettishall
Country Park and runs all the way to the North Norfolk coast.
For a day by the sea,
Southwold
(35 miles), Great Yarmouth (45 miles) and Lowestoft (39 miles) are
all within easy reach, as are the
Norfolk Broads.
